I was thrilled to support Cooks Who Care through the Dina Wind Art Foundation's Chef Series! Hardena's Diana Widjojo and Noord's Joncarl Lachman created such a special Rijsttafel dinner for the socially distanced group in attendance on the roof deck. After months of takeout, it was a true pleasure to experience a one-of-a-kind tasting menu created by these two thoughtful chefs. I'd encourage any food lover to sign up for the next dinners and support a Cooks Who Care, a wonderful cause that helps hospitality workers, at the same time.

They have and will continue to be the beacon of change and reform in the hospitality business. I’ve never met a more devoted group who reflect and change so easily in a constantly changing landscape. You always feel and know genuinely that cooks who care is looking out for your best interests when working with them. Reach out and help them or collaborate with them to see how real leaders do it.

Cooks Who Care was the first organization in the Philadelphia professional culinary community to welcome me and my company with open arms. I was happy to see a very diverse organization deeply involved in providing healthy foods to an underserved local community. CWC is a champion and advocate for inclusion in the food and beverage industry. Both my company and I are much richer for the experience. Cooks Who Cares should be your first contact to introduce you and your project to the Philadelphia community.

Cooks Who Care has played an integral role in supporting employers and employees by striving to create healthier and happier workplaces. Philadelphia is lucky that Cooks Who Care has our back. We’re especially lucky that they’ve been doing this work long before the pandemic, and will continue to do so long after. Cooks Who Care works tirelessly to compile accessible mental health care options for industry workers, which is more important now than ever for industry workers who may still be out of work and struggling mentally. Also, I love seeing Cooks Who Care on Instagram - their content is always so useful and uplifting. A must- follow!

Cooks Who Care helped us getting solve acess to healthcare for our staff! Something we previously didn't have and didn't know how to create a solution for the barrier to it. Maria has been such an awesome leader in the food industry of Philadelphia, advocating for all of us to come together and take care of ourselves AND each other. Not only is the message of CWC inspirational but it also makes prioritizing taking care of ourselves accessible and helps us to set realistic goals to shift the toxic culture of the food industry.
